Five Dock Group Fitness – Chiswick Exercise Bootcamp

One of the most simple but effective workouts to do is a body weight workout.

There is literally no limit with what you can achieve doing a bodyweight workout.

Today our  Chiswick/ Five Dock Group Fitness Bootcamp Kicked off.

The turnout was good, the light was back at 6am and we did a bodyweight session.

Basic program was :

0 min warm up jog

5 min joint mobility and stretching

Moving on to shuttle run combos with strength work

We set up 5 cones 10 meters apart and ran from the first one to the second one and back to the first one so on.

There are many variations you could do in the configuration of  the cones.

Today though I kept it simple and had them lined up straight ahead.

At each cone campers stopped and performed an exercise.

Exercises included, 1 leg dead lifts, mountain climbers, squat thrusts, lunges, pushups, negative pushups all with alternating shuttle runs.

It started raining at 30 min but that did not stop our workout.

We finished of with some sprints and called it stumps.

Over all it was a good session considering we had been focusing on boxing for the last month due to lack of light.
